Brown Family Apps ("we", "our", or "us") operates the JobSnap mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use JobSnap.
1. Information We Collect
To provide JobSnap's core features—including client management, job site photo organization, scheduling, crew time tracking, and cloud backups—we process the following data:
- Account & Authentication Data: Your email address is collected when you create an account or sign in using Firebase Authentication or Google Sign-In. This is used solely to authenticate your identity, secure access, and manage your account.
- App Content & Client Records: Names, phone numbers, addresses, and service notes you enter or import from your contacts are processed strictly within the App to manage your client records.
- Job Site Photos: Photos captured or imported are stored locally on your device and can be backed up to your personal Google Drive account upon your explicit request.
- Diagnostics & Analytics: We use Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous diagnostic crash logs to improve app performance and stability.
- In-App Subscriptions: Subscription purchases are processed securely by Google Play Billing. We do not store or access your credit card or financial details.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected data solely to:
- Authenticate user accounts and maintain secure access.
- Power core app functionality (client management, photo organization, scheduling, crew hours, and backup/restore).
- Troubleshoot app crashes and improve app performance.
3. Data Sharing & Third-Party Services
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We use trusted service providers operating under strict privacy standards:
- Google Firebase: For authentication, database management, analytics, crash reporting, and storage.
- Google Play Services & Google Drive API: For OAuth login and user-controlled backups.
4. Account and Data Deletion Policy
You have complete control over your data:
- In-App Deletion: You can delete individual client records, photo folders, and time entries at any time directly inside the App.
- Complete Account Deletion Request: To permanently delete your JobSnap account and all associated cloud/server data, please send an email to:
jobsnapappinfo@gmail.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request". - Timeline: Upon receiving your email request, your account credentials and associated server data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.
5. Data Security & Encryption in Transit
All data transferred between JobSnap and cloud services (Firebase, Google APIs) is encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS 1.2/1.3 (HTTPS). Sensitive preference tokens on your device are protected using Android's EncryptedSharedPreferences and Tink security libraries.
6. Children's Privacy
JobSnap is designed for trade professionals and service businesses. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
